The Spartech products FDA grade UltraTuf™ PETG (polyethylene terephthalate glycol), Series 55 APET / PET (polyethylene terephthalate), Cellulose Acetate and Spartech Korad™ Weatherable Acrylic PMMA are widely used as preferred surfacing films and as personal protection equipments. UltraTuf™ PETG, Series 55 APET / PET, Cellulose Acetate are used as face shields amongst many other applications. Marked by high optical clarity, good impact resistance and chemical protection, Spartech offers excellent PPE face shield material. Cellulose Acetate is used in healthcare sector as well. Being thermoplastic sheets, it is lightweight, flexible, and strong. Known as just Spartech CA, it offers chemical resistance to Acetone, Methanol, Isopropanol, 20% Ammonium Hydroxide and acetic acids. It’s also used as splash protection applications and resists sanitizing agents additionally.
ABS, HIPS, PVC, PMMA, PC and ASA uses Korad™ surfacing films globally. Despite of severely weather impacted environments of long-term UV light exposure, visible light, moisture, heat and cold, Korad acrylic polymers demonstrated exceptional colour stability. It’s used for both indoor as well as outdoor applications. Ease of manufacturing and flexibility are amongst top advantages of Korad.
Spartech Royalite™ PVC/Acrylic is an aerospace rated sheet. It is light weight and thus reduces the cost required for manufacturing as well. This advantage for aircraft manufacturers is vital. Additionally, it offers much reduced operations cost and reduced fuel consumption cost for aircraft operators. very high impact strength, high tensile strength and stiffness, excellent formability and ductility are some of the salient features of this product. It finds it applications not only in the aerospace but also in trains. These Royalite sheets are easy to machine, saw, drill, rout and grind. One more important characteristics is flame/smoke resistant. This family of products is FAA compliant.
